KSCADC has distributed 2000 bicycles to fisherfolk girl students in 9 coastal districts with the support of LNG Petronet (Rs. 90.00 lakh)
The aim of this initiative is to reduce the dropout rate of fisherfolk girl students and improve enrollment and retention of girl students in government schools.
It also aims to improve the psycho-physical health of girl students and make it easier for the deprived section of society to complete their secondary education.
The overall goal is to uplift the socio-economic status of traditional fishermen.



The goal is to improve the standard of cleanliness on Kerala beaches.
The project aims to introduce a less commonly used beach cleaning technology in Kerala beaches.
The aim is to remove all small litter from the beaches while keeping the beach sand intact.
The project also aims to improve the cleanliness of fishermen's habitation and work places.
The ultimate goal is to attract tourists from around the world to the cleaner and more serene beaches of Kollam, increase the state's revenue from beach tourism, create a welcoming beach ambiance for domestic and international tourists, allow aquatic life to thrive in a cleaner environment, and enhance employment opportunities.


Kerala State Coastal Area Development Corporation (KSCADC), as part of its women welfare and workplace hygiene initiatives, has installed Automatic Sanitary Napkin Vending Machines and Napkin Incinerators in selected cashew factories across the State. These factories, which are exclusively women-oriented workplaces, will greatly benefit from this progressive intervention.
The project has been implemented with the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) support of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL). The Automatic Napkin Vending Machines ensure easy and timely access to sanitary napkins, while the Napkin Incinerators provide a safe, eco-friendly, and hygienic disposal mechanism within the premises.
This initiative reflects KSCADC’s commitment to enhancing health, hygiene, and dignity for women workers, while also promoting sustainable and responsible workplace practices. Through this partnership with BPCL, KSCADC continues to champion the cause of women empowerment and inclusive industrial development in Kerala’s coastal sector.
As part of the CSR initiative, the Board of Directors of KSCADC resolved to sponsor Kovalam Football Club, a coastal youth football club in Thiruvananthapuram district. The sponsorship will help the club procure world class equipments and accessories (boots, pads, jerseys, shin pads etc) of reputed brands for its players, impart better training, participate in more national & international level competitions etc.
The club members and officials will imprint the Corporate Logo and Motto of KSCADC on the jerseys they wear. They will ensure the visibility of the Corporation in national and international venues. The star players may also endorse KSCADC for the assistance and support rendered.
Kovalam Football Club has its registered office at 1/796, M3, Jai Nagar, Medical College P O, Trivandrum -11.
The Board of Directors of KSCADC resolved to spend up to Rs 3.50 lakhs in FY 2014-15 towards CSR assistance to Mental Health Care and Research Foundation. This provision is for the purchase of medicines for the 'Community Based Mental Health Care in the Coastal Areas of Alappuzha,' a project run by MEHAC.
Main objectives of the project are,
1. Ensure free mental health care and treatment to the people with poor economic back ground by establishing community-psychiatric clinics through the LSGIs, volunteers, organisations etc.
2. Provide psychiatric treatment through home care visits of patients who are from remote areas.
3. Mainstreaming the target groups to the frontline of the society.
Improving the awareness of the general public about the need and importance of proper psychiatric care and to reduce the stigma related to mental illness.
4. The project area spreads over Punnapra, Chettikadu, Mararikulam, Arthungal, Azeekkal, Andhakaranazhi, Mannancherry, Thrikunnapuzha and Kanjikuzhi.
Mental Health Care and Research Foundation (MEHAC) is an organisation registered as a charitable trust with the objective of advancing public health initiatives in mental health care with registered office at 6A/51 WEA, Karol Bagh, New Delhi, 110005 and Regional office at Saketh ,39/117 Karaikkamuri cross road, Ernakulam 11.

In any emergency caused by natural or unnatural disasters quick response and assistance will be vital to save lives. Simple acts of first aid may sometimes be the most important act that eventually saves a victims life.
The Corporation, under its CSR initiative, proposes to conduct life saving and rescue training to school and college students, other institutions and the public along with spreading message on its importance. The two agencies empanelled for this purpose are Life Saving Society of India and Rashtriya Life Saving Society (India).
Training in life saving techniques includes First Aid and Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) Training, Rookie Lifesaver training, Pool Lifeguard training, Beach Lifeguard training, Road Safety training etc.
