AP ICAR CMFRI. AGREEMENT FOR ARTIFICIAL REEFS IMPLEMENTED BY KSCADC
In a first-of-its-kind initiative in Andhra Pradesh, the Kerala State Coastal Area Development Corporation Ltd. (KSCADC), in collaboration with ICAR–CMFRI, has undertaken the implementation of scientifically engineered Artificial Reefs along the coastline. This pioneering effort is aimed at restoring marine habitats, enhancing fishery resources, and strengthening the livelihood security of traditional fisherfolk. Through the deployment of eco-friendly reef modules and science-backed interventions, KSCADC is fostering sustainable coastal development, enriching marine biodiversity, and creating enduring benefits for coastal communities.
